Balance of Plant (BoP) Technicians – Register Your Interest

OEG Renewables is looking to expand its network of experienced Balance of Plant (BoP) Technicians for upcoming offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe.

Typical Responsibilities
- Inspection, maintenance and repair of offshore BoP equipment
- Planned and corrective maintenance activities
- Working on offshore substations and associated infrastructure
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Cable and auxiliary systems maintenance
- Supporting commissioning and energisation activities
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with project procedures
- Completing maintenance records and reports
Essential Requirements
- Previous offshore wind experience as a BoP Technician or similar
- OGUK / OEUK Medical
- Chester Step Test – Good or above
- GWO Working at Height
- GWO Enhanced First Aid
- GWO Fire Awareness
- GWO Manual Handling
- GWO Sea Survival
Desirable Experience
- HV/LV electrical systems
- Switchgear and transformers
- Inter-array and export cable experience
- Commissioning and energisation support
- Electrical or mechanical apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- HV Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
