We are seeking an experienced Offshore Client Representative to support a Major Component Exchange (MCE) campaign onboard a Jack-Up Vessel (JUV). Acting as the Employer's offshore representative, you will oversee operational execution, ensure compliance with HSE requirements, provide field-level approvals, and facilitate effective communication between offshore and onshore teams.
This is a short-term assignment ideally suited to professionals with significant offshore wind, heavy lift, vessel operations, and MCE experience.

🚢 Your Role at a Glance
As a Client Representative, you’ll be the key link between offshore operations, vessels, and stakeholders, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
HSE & Safety Oversight
- Monitor offshore operations to ensure strict compliance with approved Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe acts or conditions are identified.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the campaign.
Operational Monitoring
- Oversee JUV positioning, jack-up activities, and heavy lifting operations.
- Participate in Go/No-Go weather decision meetings alongside the Vessel Master and Contractor representatives.
- Monitor campaign progress and operational performance against agreed plans.
Onsite Approvals & Commercial Management
- Review, verify, and sign off Contractor Daily Progress Reports (DPRs).
- Verify and agree operational time categorisation, including Weather Downtime, Contractor Delay, and other relevant classifications.
- Provide field-level approvals for minor Management of Change (MOC) requests that do not impact safety, quality, or project costs.
Communication & Reporting
- Act as the primary offshore focal point between the Employer's onshore project team and the JUV.
- Provide daily progress updates and immediate notification of incidents, delays, or significant operational issues.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of offshore activities.
Knowledge Transfer & Mentoring
- Share MCE operational knowledge and best practices with other Employer Representatives.
- Provide on-the-job mentoring to support internal capability development.
- Maintain a Lessons Learned register throughout the campaign.
- Participate in project close-out and lessons learned workshops following campaign completion.
Document Review & Verification
- Review and verify critical operational documentation prior to execution, including:
- Lifting Plans
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Safe System of Work documentation
- Lift Plan Approvals (LPA)
- Verify that quality control and inspection records are accurately completed and compiled by the Contractor, including:
- Torquing checklists
- Installation records
- Inspection and verification documentation
Key Deliverables
- Independent daily activity logs.
- Verified and signed Contractor Daily Progress Reports (DPRs).
- Final Campaign Report summarising:
- MCE execution timeline
- HSE performance
- Key lessons learned
- Recommendations for future campaigns
