1. Project Overview
- Provide Heavy Lift Supervision services to support the offshore installation and construction activities of the Hollandse Kust West Offshore Wind Farm. The role involves coordinating and supervising all lifting and rigging operations to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
2. Objectives
- Ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with project procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Prevent incidents, dropped objects, and equipment damage.
- Support the successful installation of offshore wind farm components.
3. Deliverables
- Supervise all heavy lift and rigging activities offshore.
- Review and verify lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks.
- Verify certification and suitability of cranes, lifting gear, and rigging equipment.
- Monitor weather and operational conditions affecting lifting activities.
- Produce daily reports, lift records, and safety observations.
- Coordinate lifting operations between vessel crews, technicians, and project teams.
4. Responsibilities
- Ensure lifting operations are performed in accordance with approved procedures.
- Lead and coordinate crane operators, riggers, and lifting teams.
- Stop work where unsafe conditions or practices are identified.
- Participate in HSE meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to project management.
- Liaise with Client representatives, marine personnel, contractors, and offshore management teams.
5. Standards
- Work shall be performed in accordance with:
- LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations).
- BS 7121 – Safe Use of Cranes.
- Relevant EN and ISO lifting standards.
- Applicable Dutch offshore regulations.
- IMCA guidance and marine industry best practices.
- Project HSE, Quality Management, and Permit to Work procedures.
- Approved lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
