HV Electrical & Mechanical Fitters – Gretna, Scotland

OEG Renewables Limited is looking for experienced HV Electrical & Mechanical Fitters to support an upcoming high-voltage maintenance outage in Gretna, Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled HV professionals with experience across National Grid and DNO environments to get involved in a focused maintenance campaign, carrying out essential testing and maintenance activities on high-voltage equipment.
The Role
Working alongside an experienced Commissioning Engineer, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of a planned HV maintenance outage.
Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out HV equipment maintenance and inspection activities.

Undertaking oil sampling, battery testing and HV contact resistance checks.

Supporting planned maintenance activities under the supervision of a Commissioning Engineer.

Completing accurate maintenance reports and associated documentation.

Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures and industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
-
Proven experience in HV electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Previous experience working on National Grid and/or DNO projects.

IPAF MEWP Category 3b certification.
-
Good understanding of HV substation environments and safe working practices.

Appropriate HV substation PPE, including arc flash protection.
