As we continue a busy 2026, we are looking for a Marine Coordinator starting in June and lasting for around 4 weeks with the possibility of extension. This will be based onshore in Scotland.
Experience and Certification – Required
- OGUK / OEUK Medical/ENG1
- Marine Coordination Experience
- Knowledge of Operations and maintenance activities
- Knowledge/awareness of emergency response control
- Competent in the use of the supplier database for offshore operations
- Competent with radio communications
- Familiarity with maritime certification
- Capable of working as part of a team, proactive, working under pressure and engages well with organisation
- Experienced in emergency response offshore
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate Marine SIMOPS – report possible conflicts to the project team in advance
- Monitor weather and dispatch weather forecasts.
- Assist in acting as the main marine project contact to deal with an offshore emergency (liaise with the coast guard to render assistance) and provide client notification as agreed.
- Liaising with the coastguard and marine stakeholders
- Liaising with the HSE Manager in his/her duties in relation to offshore activities, exercises, incidents & in preparing various plans as necessary
- Compile notices to mariners
- Assist with / administer suitability surveys of smaller vessels prior to their acceptance and any other marine assignments in agreement with project requirements
- Manage and administer offshore site Inductions, management of personnel tracking and operation of the vessel coordination system
- Responsible for monitoring and coordinating vessel traffic, personnel and materials to and from the offshore site
- Marine coordination duties for the project, this will be on a 12-24 hour/day basis with a duty telephone for the out-of-hours response
- Establish and keep contact to marine authorities

- Comply with risk assessments and method statements relevant to your works and to follow the noted control measures
- Report any incidents , observations or near misses
- Take care of all work equipment, do not use any defective equipment and report defects immediately
- Wear any necessary PPE as outlined for works being conducted
- Maintain OEGs high standards of housekeeping at all times.
