OEG are looking for an Offshore Rigger to join our project in Germany, this is based on a CTV, the CTV is being used to live on and work off.

Scope of Works:
Technicians support the full lifecycle of temporary generators including installation, connection, maintenance, refuelling, monitoring, and demobilisation. Generators must remain 100% operational. OEG are delivering 21 JCB G165QS (150 kVA) diesel generators mounted on a 3000ltr fuel tank with a 690V transformer. IRAMS remote monitoring will be utilised for the generators. All rigging will be provided by OEG.
- Mobilisation: Prepare and load equipment
- Installation: Install generators offshore
- Electrical Connection: Connect generators to turbines
- Operations: Maintain and refuel
- Demobilisation: Remove and return equipment
An Offshore Rigger is responsible for safely planning and executing lifting operations involving generators, machinery, and heavy equipment on offshore installations. The role includes attaching and securing loads, selecting appropriate lifting gear, and working closely with crane operators to ensure precise and controlled movements.
The Offshore Rigger must inspect and maintain rigging equipment, ensure all lifts comply with safety regulations and lifting plans, and identify potential hazards before and during operations. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of offshore safety procedures are essential to ensure safe and efficient lifting activities in challenging offshore environments.
Certification Requirements:
- OGUK / OEUK Medical
- Chester Step Test: Good or Above
- GWO Working at Height – more than 1 year in validity
- GWO Enhanced First Aid
- OPITO Rigging (Competence Assessment/Reassessment)
- GWO BST
- German Electrical Training (this can be completed at a cost)
