As we prepare to head into a very busy 2026, we are looking to speak to Statutory Inspection Technician – Team Lead for offshore works.
Position
Responsible for safe implementation of OEG Renewables policies and procedures at site/shift level on various offshore wind projects. Taking a leading role in, mobilising, execution, and demobilising of statutory inspection work scopes on the Siemens DD 6.0 model WTG. Maintaining team performance in line with industry, client, project, and company requirements. Motion Kinetic Software to monitor and track company and customer assets deployed on project. As Team Lead you will be responsible for small teams.
The role requires the team leader to assist in the implementation of company and project policies and procedures acting as the client liaison taking part in briefing/debriefings on daily offshore progress and planning.
Role is primarily based offshore or living on shore with daily transit offshore.

- Demonstrable experience / competence within a similar role
Required Skills
- Proficient with MS Office
- Proficient with reporting software Motion Kinetic
- Ability to prioritise and organise tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Good understanding of LOLER/PUWER/PSSR and Fire Safety Regulations
Desirable
- Relevant vocational training such as apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical discipline
- LEEA Foundation – Working towards LEEA General
Responsibilities:
General
- Ensure team members are sufficiently equipped for statutory inspection projects
- Management of project tooling and equipment
- Management of project consumable stock items such as inspection tags and oils/greases
- Daily reporting and inspection/checklists
- Implementing OEG Renewables & client safe systems of work
Inspection
- Conducting thorough examinations in line with local legislation such as LOLER and PUWER
- Fire Extinguisher Inspection
- TMSE Inspections
- PFPE Inspections
- Loose Lifting Equipment Inspections
- Inspection of Hydraulic systems (PRV’s and accumulators)
- Inspection and Load Testing of WTG nacelle cranes
- Inspection and Load Testing of Davit Cranes using water weights
- Inspection and Load Testing of man riding lifts
Maintenance
- Able to service and maintain service lifts and cranes listed in “Certification – Required” section above
- Able to troubleshoot faults and remedy
- Able to conduct component exchange such as crane wires etc
Leadership
- Managing current contractors and employee technicians with support from department manager
- Managing company reporting on a site level
- Supporting project manager in tooling and solution delivery
- Creation of PDF documents
- Management of project tooling and equipment files
- Management of Motion Kinetic & My Compliance systems at site level
Health & Safety
- Supervision of other team members
- Promote a safe culture on site
- Challenge unsafe acts, encourage technicians to do the same and to offer suggestions for improvement
- Follow and promote adherence to the most recent OEG Renewables safe systems of work
- Chair TBT’s
- Work with project management to improve safety arrangements
